I think they only offered him a 2 year contract. With him being 30 years old he's not gonna get much after those 2 years. Plus Thibs will drive him to the ground. Not saying he's a bad coach but damn what happened to Rose was just sad. Missed most of 2012 cause of injury, come back during the playoffs tears ACL. Then another injury before the all star break? Don't get me wrong Rose athleticism was only matched by GOATBrook and was exciting as heck to watch, but he was too relied on as a scorer by the bulls. What if Melo had to do the same? Injury prone? Whos gonna take care of him if he gets injured after 2 years? If Thibs had a deep bench and pop's time management with his current defensive mind, Bulls would be contenders and Melo would def be there in a heartbeat.
