Tallest players ever by position?
PG-Magic Johnson
SG-George Gervin
SF-Kevin Durant
PF-Ralph Sampson
C-George Muresan
Is this right?

Re: Tallest players ever by position?
I know Dirk played small forward when the Mavs had Juwan Howard and KG played small forward when the Wolves had Joe Smith. Manute Bol could also be mentioned at center, Ralph Sampson at power forward and T-Mac is probably as tall, if not taller than Gervin. But Durant played shooting guard during his rookie year and early in his second season.

Tracy McGrady for shooting guard and Dirk Nowitzki for power forward. Did you just list random players or something?

I was referring to players who were played the position for the majority of their careers, not in spurts

Brad Sellers played SF/SG for the Bulls in the late 80s. he was a legit 7 footer.

Well, T-Mac has played shooting guard more than any other position. Sampson was technically considered Houston's power forward when he played Olajuwon, which makes up most of the healthy part of his career. If not Sampson, then Pau Gasol at power forward.

Re: Tallest players ever by position?
Donte Greene for SG.
Greene is 6'10 and hes been stuck trying to figure out whether he is a SG or SF.
Nikoloz Tskitishvili is the tallest SF on record at 7'0.

Very good NBA starter
Re: Tallest players ever by position?
Jonathan Bender, 7 foot SF

Titles are overrated
Re: Tallest players ever by position?
Bender, Jeffries, and Sellers all 6'11'' or 7 feet tall playing the 2/3. Jeffries on the wizards played at the 2 quite a bit even though hes listed as a forward/center....
Hedo is like 6'10'' too isnt he?

I assumed Durant was around 6'10 3/4-6'11

Re: Tallest players ever by position?
Durant was probably the only one that played true SG tho (in his rookie season). Other guys like Jeffries, Bender probably only got a small percentage of minutes there because of matchups and stuff.
