Re: Concrete proof that Scott Brooks needs to be fired, he gives everyone a green light.
Scott Brooks is a good coach in the right situation where he has plenty of young talent to develop on a bad team like he did when he first got to Oklahoma. He does a good job of being positive, cultivating a family and team atmosphere, and developing young players. He and Oklahoma City has done a good job of developing their young talent over the years. A team like Philadelphia going through a rebuilding process is a good example.
It made sense to keep the offense simple and let these extremely talented players go out and simply play the game without hindering them in a specific offensive system when they were 21, 22 and 23 years old.
But who here has seen any improvement in their ball movement or player movement over the last couple of years and has seen any type of growth with this team? This team has not demonstrated the ability to grow and continues to make the same mistakes, and worse yet, the players seem oblivious about it. I read a quote from KD last night that he was happy with their ball movement and they were simply missing shots.
We all know Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are good enough to make shots and bail out their offense. But they simply resort to hero ball and still have no semblance of an offense, and don't see them any closer to understanding. This team is in desperate need of a head coaching change, even if they don't want to admit it.
Scott Brooks is not the man to fix these problems. Oklahoma City must also be one of the league leaders in possessions were only one player touches the ball and jacks up a shot early in the shot clock, too. No discipline.

A offensive system not really helps KD and Russia(Even though they will probably get more open shots) it will help the other role players that are struggling. Get them open shots or at least get to touch the ball when coming down the court.

Yes, I agree that the offensive system is not for Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, necessarily. But it is for everyone else on the team to get them involved and understand where they're going to get their shots on the floor and to create better ball movement as a team in general.
This isn't much different than Phil Jackson coming to Chicago and implementing the triangle offense. Phil didn't have to be smart enough to implement the triangle offense, he only had to be smart enough to bring in an expert like Tex Winters who understood it and get it. Better ball movement and player movement by swing the ball side to side crates much better scoring opportunities for the other players around those two superstars.

they must not turn the ball over with those horrible %s
or they must be losing terribly.

I don't know...smart people have known Brooks sucks the fat one for years now...I think this ship has sailed.
It'll take years before the media figures out how bad Brooks is.

I'm not a fan of Scott Brooks gameplan. Even during those Shaq and Kobe years, they still have to play through that system triangle offense where all players know how they gonna run it based on the other team's defense and the role players know when they gonna get their shots and how to move the ball to create better angles.
