Default Nike on the verge of signinga a "long-term" NBA kit deal

Source. The framework is in place and if the deal goes through it will come into place in 2017

I don't know how to feel about this. I like Adidas.

I don't particularly, a lot of them look the same. E.g. Bobcats using Mavs font. Hopefully if Nike gets the deal they'll be more creative

I like Nike's designs much better than Adidas, so I'm excited about this.

How much say they have when it comes to design? As far as I know the teams design their own uniforms - which the NBA have to approve - and Adidas takes care of the production and materials.

May cop a Home Heat Wade authentic now. Adidas was not the wave.

A few notes for those who did not click the link:

-adidas has already backed out of negotiations, their current contract ends in 2016-2017.

-It's between Under Armour and Nike; the NBA supposedly digs Nike's international appeal, having sold close to $14 billion outside the USA last year, where Under Armour was around $300 million.

-There are rumors that, for the first time, the NBA may allow manufacturer logos to be on the jerseys. In Nike's case, that means the Swoosh and the Jumpman (a subsidiary of Nike) could make an appearance on jerseys beginning in 2017-2018... if a deal is reached.

I like it. Nike is just more synonymous with basketball.
