Dunno. There was a 3-4 foot storm surge that came in. So it might have overwhelmed the local seawall.

The police in Marshfield, Mass., just south of Scituate, said high tide had washed away a major section of a sea wall and caused structural damage to a home.

Bs. NY didn't get hit that hard just a normal snow storm. I still probably have to go to classes tomorrow.

Here on Cape Cod, its still hurricane force gusts and snow accumulating at a pretty crazy rate. I shoveled off 7" last night before bed, woke up to another 14" and its been going pretty steadily since.

Just had the first dalliances with the power going out, but its only Comcast...the wireless gateway keeps flitting in and out as I'm trying to catch up on Downton Abbey episodes.

Infrastructure out here is terrible since none of the retirees want to pay for anything, so plowing is slow going. Our DPW guys just worked 15 hours straight and are finally taking a break, but there's at least another 5-6 hours of heavy snow forecast for us.
