A healthy Wade is a better fit IMO.

Pippen and LeBron cancel each other out by doing too much of the same thing. They'd likely have some success if only for their defense, but still... You're better off pairing LeBron with a Pau Gasol or Westbrook.

Pairing LeBron with a LeBron-lite. Essentially Pippen would become a 3&D player, and you'd be complaining about lack of help when they don't get it done.

Pairing LeBron with Westbrook would be hliarious. How would that be a good fit AT ALL?

Matter of fact is, pairing a perimeter guy with a big ALWAYS works... thats why you know some players are special when you can pair them with non stars, and call it "complimentary cast"... like they wouldn't have had easier, better success WITH a star, a big at that... yeah, Bron and a big is an easy choice.. I always wanted to see Bron and Howard (yea yea, super team doe), but he also worked it with Wade, and one of the few title teams ever with no real inside presence.

Having something good in the back and front court, thats the usual, right balance for title teams.

Like Wade, Westbrook can create shots on his own, at will (they're both mediocre 3PT shooters as well). They wouldn't be the best of duos, but I don't see Russ getting in the way of LeBron's game as I would with Pippen.

LeBron and Gasol would be a fantastic pairing though.

Yeah, to some degree Wade and Lebron's skillsets were redundant too, but the difference is Wade's a more willing scorer whereas Lebron is more in his comfort zone facilitiating and doing all the little things like Scottie did on those Bulls title teams.

So LeBron gets to have prime Pippen for all these hypothetical 6 chips? Interedasting...no not ready for prime time Pippen when his migrane in GM 7 ECFs cost the Bulls a title in 90, no broken down Pippen with back issues where MJ singlehandidly carried the Bulls to the finish line, as a 35 year old? Just all prime Pippen

Two can play that game, give MJ prime Wade and Bosh and he'd start winning chips as early as 88 instead of 91...MJ would've ended up with at least 9 chips

Lebron becomes complacent and becomes really good at those high elbow pick and roll, but not the side shots.

he will still need another 'big 3' player who can score

maybe he spends an offseason to improve his shooting in the sense it becomes deadly

LeBron's enormous success with Wade and Kyrie should've debunked this by now. Those 2, when healthy, managed to put together monster seasons alongside him and were part of dominant offensive teams. And neither player had to adjust much. In Kyrie's case, 0 adjustments. He basically played like he had always played this past season. Cleveland finished as the league's #3 offense and were the runaway #1 during the 2nd half of the season.

If paired with Pippen, LeBron can easily move to the 4 for much of the time anyway, which was basically what he was doing from 12-14 in Miami.

So basically 5 rings by now would be a consensus?

And lol at anyone saying Pippen cancels out LeBron. LeBron would let Pippen run and offense, and become the Off- Ball scorerof the team like he did in the 2012 Finals

LeBron in the low post and Pippen on the perimeter running the plays

LeBrons assists go down, but efficiency and rebounds go up

    LeBron: 28/11/4 on 59% shooting

    Pippen: 22/6/6 with elite defense

5+ rings with more on the way
