Kyrie’s defense was ass. The Cavs were doubling Curry. That along with Lebron having him terrified to drive into the paint and a little choking is what shut Curry down, not Kyrie.
How about kuzma - the stats prove he's an equal or better scorer than prime pippen:

3rd year Pippen's ppg ranked 56th out of 381 in 1990 (85.4th percentile)

Compare to kuzma's 36th out of 431 in 2019 (91.5th percentile)..

91' Pippen was 44 of 387 (88.7th percentile) and 93' Pippen was at 31 of 390 (92.1st percentile)

so kuzma is still equal or better scorer than prime pippen

The Cavs for sure doubled Curry a lot as does every single team because if you don't he's gonna go off for 50 in 3 quarters as is usual for Curry, but you're lying to yourself or just plain don't remember if you say Kyrie didn't play excellent and inspired defense on Curry. He played him very physical and played very good defense to the point where it aided in Curry performing below average.

He should run, cut to the basket and get his touches virtually every time on offense. He is not a good defender (yet) so if you don't make him a scorer you may as well sit him down.

If coached properly, Kyle can become exactly what this team needs. The way he is being played now not so much.

Another thing, the cavs lose in 2016 without kyrie at 28 ppg or whatever it was.. if he was at pippen's best ppg, cavs lose in 16'

Kuzma's time of possession is 1.5 minutes, down from 1.8 last year, so he deserves more

And it's clear he's a better scorer than 3rd year Pippen based on ppg, points per 100 possessions, league ranking, and percentile rank (% of the league his PPG is higher than)..

kuzma is also doing it in less time with the ball, as opposed to pippen getting full opportunity to grow because MJ was getting his 35 off-ball and play-finishing/helping Scottie's assists

You don't even have to measure it. It's clearly visible.

With the starting unit Kuzma barely gets touches. He still has to put up shots. Because he rarely gets the ball most of his shots look rushed. He is out there to be a 4th option on offense for crying out loud. He could be so much more useful.

Certainly not the Number 1 guy in Minny averaging 26ppg, 12.5 rebounds and 4 assists a game.

Or maybe he could take him and knock his scoring average back by 10 ppg like the cancer he is.

Yea if you ever say “excellent defense” in reference to Kyrie you’re full of shit.
His defense was average at very best. Using immeasurable terms to try and pretend like you’re not making up shit won’t work on a series everybody saw.

Kyrie’s defense was nothing special and definitely not game changing.
I already explained to you why Curry underperformed.

LeBron limits their growth potential. Should’ve kept his ass in Cleveland.

LeBron never had a sidekick as good as Scottie Pippen.

Wade was past his prime

Kyrie was a baby

And Love is a bum

Give Kyrie Pippen's health and defense and they 3peat against the Warriors.

He played with prime Ben Wallace in 2009 and Prime Shaq in 2010 both of which won titles as the man. Then he played with prime Wade from 2011-2014 and Prime Bosh 2011-2014, Ray Allen 2013-2014 and then prime Kyrie 2015-2017 and Prime Love 2015-2018
