you can drive after drinking without drinking yourself up to a .201
for reference, that's almost exactly what my friend blew when the cops picked him up stumbling down the road screaming obscenities at buildings. I walked away from that encounter because I was much much less drunk.
No excuse for driving when you're that drunk. You have all that money, call a driver.

Doesn't make it any more acceptable just because you or I have done it before. Like Ralph says there's no excuse for it.

WTF IS wrong with you guys. I've been driving for years and I would never ever drive after having a shot of alchohol. This sounds like a damn alcoholics anonymous meeting.

I understand why us poor/middle class people do it cause we don't want to shell out money for cab fair.(not an excuse) You should know your limits and whatnot.
But if you're a millionaire you should have a driver or be able to get a cab easy. I would just have parties at my crib so I could avoid stuff like this if I was rich.

The most unforgivable part of this whole story is that somehow "Super Extreme DUI" is a ****ing legal term

Seriously? Driving drunk is a terrible decision. We all make mistakes so I'm not going to be the judge of whether someone's a "bad guy" or not. But drunk drivers kill innocent people on the road. And the degree of the offense matters. It's one thing to misjudge your buzz after having 2-3 drinks, or get plastered and drive the next morning not realizing you're still drunk. But getting wasted and driving that same night is clearly a terrible thing to do.
If a person makes a decision to satisfy his own ego or for convenience sake, and it places innocent lives at risk, they have a serious character flaw.
Let's leave it at that.
