    But his production is crazy.

The thing is...even if you took away HALF of his free throw attempts from last year and this year...he is still averaging over 30ppg...

They have one of the easiest strength of schedules in the NBA so far. I know you can only play who is front of you though.

Show me the players averaging over 30ppg since last year while only taking 7.5 free throws per game.

I mean, Harden is hard as *** to stop since he is so good at spamming the highest value shots at an efficient enough level. You can't stop him from isoing and either pulling up from 3 or using his size/speed/handle to get around the primary defender.

I think like 85% of his threes made last year were unassisted...which is nuts.

15.2 FTs a game. That’s more than Shaq ever averaged (his highest was 13.1). Even Wilt only averaged more than that ONCE and that’s when he averaged 50.4 PPG (and Wilt got intentionally fouled)

Harden last year averaged 36ppg while taking 11 FTs per game.

I agree 15 FTs per game this year is ridiculous but they will come back down to around 11 like last year.

People are scared to touch Harden and he still gets the most FTs in the league every year. People weren’t afraid to foul Shaq at all...they were afraid not to.

    And it better come down.

Rockets games average a combined score of 232.9 points. Third highest in league. Pace is also 3rd highest.

Lakers games average a combined 13 less possessions and 23 less points.

So, while his numbers are amazing, and kudos, because the Rockets are winning, the numbers are inflated by game style, pace and a lack of defensive focus.

OP trying to prop up harden coz Kawhi just embarrased how overrated these triple double players are. 5 MVPs for those 2 but couldnt win 1 legit ring. Meanwhile a guy who has no MVPs already had 2. Talk about overrated. Thats why eye test > stats and always will be and so are kobe stans.

Harden 49/5/6, +16 and another win.

Rockets 10-3, Harden is averaging 40ppg.

    Just absurd.

    Yeah I saw.

    Rockets are 10-3.

No Westbrook or Capela tonight yet Harden carried, was +16, basically dropped 50 and got the W.

    Honestly what do you want?

I'm not a Harden fan but he is CLEARLY on a HISTORIC streak since last year.

Sometimes I WISH guys like Lebron and KD would just let loose and chuck some in the regular season.
