Bosh said he's willing to take a cut. IMO, get rid of Lewis/Birdman for some younger legs/traditional C. The Heat's off season really rests on Wade's shoulders though. If he chooses money over winning, it won't be a championship year and the Spurs will repeat, no question. If Wade is willing to take a paycut, they could easily be contenders.

Remember Wade essentially paid Haslem to stay on the Heat? I won't be surprised if Wade takes a paycut and LeBron pays him the difference. Bron did just make 30 million from the Beats by Dre sale.

If Wade opts in, I won't be surprised if LeBron leaves

Also, I think Bosh could be more effective if he got more touches as the 2nd option of the team, opposed to Wade.
I don't get your rating of Bosh. The man took 2 less shots per game than Wade throughout the regular season (scoring 3 less points) and has routinely been laying eggs all throughout the playoff runs of the last few years. This playoffs he took 2.4 less shots to score 3 less points (and before the finals this disparity would've been far greater). He also scored 0 points in the finals game 7 last year - he needed more touches! It's not like Miami even have a designated '2nd option' anyway: when Bosh is assertive and makes shots at the start of the game he will often end up taking more shots than Wade, but too often he goes 1-5 and then checks out of the game.

Honestly, i think until you get rid of this 1st, 2nd, 3rd option bullshit Miami will struggle to beat the Spurs again, and rightfully so, considering they beat them playing team ball and not this mindless media batman/robin narrative used to make kids think they know something about basketball.

Lebron should be getting his 25 and direct the offense, but as for touches: the ball should simply keep moving until a guy gets a good look. Wade gets more shots because he was more active offensively, always cutting at the right times and such, whereas Bosh is routinely planted on the perimeter, passive, and waiting for the kickout.

Basketball: team sport, 5 players, a hierarchy of 'options' just isn't required.

    jordan stans:

this isn't a serious metric which pertains to how good your favorite shoe salesman was at basketball. there is no need to make up false narratives about how some years don't count against jordan (because he played poorly, or was out of shape), or count absentee years when he didn't have the passion or the mental fortitude to get on the court.

6 rings and 3 'retirements' from '85-'03 is pretty good, and is nothing you should be ashamed to stan in the future.

This is basically penalizing guys for playing longer.

The Miami Heat are the new SA Spurs. The old guys of the league.
