I'm sorry Clippers fans, I know people disrespect you all the time and it must hurt, and for what it's worth I think this is a good team.
But the truth is that the Spurs have been atrocious all season, and especially the 2 games against the Clippers. Now, do the Clippers deserve some credit for that? No, not really. When you:
-Miss wide open shots all game long
-Commit unforced turnovers
-Get out-rebounded because of silly mistakes (mostly wing players not screening)
you deserve the blame, not the other way around.
The Clippers... just aren't as good as the Spurs. There's no denying the quality of the shots they're getting is much higher than LA (and most other teams too). Any knowledgeable fan will tell you that.
But right now there's something really wrong with this team, maybe mentally, maybe it's the adjustment to a slower pace, that makes them play like garbage. The Spurs have just been really lucky to have such a good record so far.
Duncan could not guard DJ and he was doing a great job on Duncan. The Clippers hit the boards and defended well. Great win for them. The Spurs were the ones fighting to get the lead rather than the other way around. On to the Thunder who the Clippers seem to love to play.
Spurs are a 3pt shooting team. Outside of Duncan they have no interior target so they try to spread teams out. If theitr shots are falling, they are very hard to beat ask Denver and if their shots are not dropping, well...

LOL, so the only way to win is to make open shots?
I'm guessing the "open shots" that the Spurs were missing also had to do with the 47% that the Clippers shot to win the game?
Not to mention, the Clippers were 1-12 from 3, and still ended up shooting 47% total. Everyone has their excuses.. Glad to hear yours.
Bottom line is, the Spurs couldn't guard the Clippers. We've seen 2 games (not many teams have played each other twice yet), so the funny/ironic thing is that Spurs fans are one of the only teams that can't say "It was only one game".
The Clippers did very well on defense, and got the looks they wanted/had role players step up for both games. It's evident that you can shut certain people down on the Clippers, but there are always wild cards off the bench (like Barnes tonight) that will light you up if you put too much attention on someone who lit you up last game (like Crawford).
guess some of these spurs fans don't realize how stupid and petty they look by making all the excuses in the world instead of just giving the winning team a little respect and then moving on.
