this will sound nonsensical, but I truly think Shaq's time on TNT is tarnishing his legacy. When I think of Shaq the player, I think of a physically dominating BEAST, but after watching him on TNT, my image of Shaq is starting to resemble an obnoxious, attention-deprived child.

The two Shaq's are starting to overlap, and pretty soon he is going to start slipping out of people's Top 10 Lists

I don't know what TNT is doing. I can only guess that they are marketing toward 13 year old douches named Sid who are into it purely because he is Shaq-- while lacking the ability to see how horrendous he is as a TV personality.

p.s. "Threeeee is a magic number." Not 'four', TNT. Three.

I don't know about tarnishing his legacy, but I used to think Shaq was funny.

But Inside the NBA is ruining that image I had of him. It's like he tries too hard on the show to be funny, and when others make a joke at his expense, he can't laugh at himself, he gets defensive and starts bragging about his stats or something silly.

He just doesn't have good chemistry with the others on the set.

I'm glad that others share my sentiment on this, he is beyond bearable. He literally seems to have the mental development of a 14 year old, I find it hard to picture him interacting in real life with real adults.

There are guys who you know in regular life who you think is funny. Those guys were probably told they should be a comedian. Bad advice. Shaq is one of those guys who took that bad advice.

Shaq was actually great when he wasn't on the show. When they'd interview him or he just do some random stuff, he was great.

But since he got the gig, something has happened, and it's not good.

I wonder is Dennis Rodman is available.

I did not say he was not funny, in fact he is/was.

What I am meant in my original post is that funny in casual life is not the same as being funny on stage or in front of the camera.

He's always been funny on camera until he joined Inside the NBA. He's even funny on Open Court, but on Inside the NBA, he's terrible.

Wonder how one of the Van Gundy's would be in the studio. Them getting a former coach on there could be cool, that way we could have someone other than Kenny breaking down plays on that badass gigantic video board. Of course they had McHale on their for awhile and that wasn't too good, but better than Shaq at least.

Just all about chemistry though. That's why Webber, who's generally great, didn't really work, he was pretty quiet and deferred to his elders a lot. They should dump Shaq and just have a bunch of guys rotate every week for like 2 months until they find a good fit. Try and poach Van Pelt or Stan Virette from ESPN maybe.

I like Shaq and I think he's mean-spirited in real life. He can't take a joke and he gets personal with guys during his playing career. He would foul the crap out of people that tried to dunk on him or showed him up.

He's perfect for the show because he gets personal when he's making fun of the rest of the guys.
