I actually thought they were a fun team when they had Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Jamal Crawford and Al Horford all on the same team. They were good too.

Now the Hawks aren't as exciting anymore because they're not as good and their fans... don't even get me started. They just don't show up to games. Their playoff atmosphere last year was pretty bad.

I like Millsap and Teague a lot, that being said, there isn't much hype/worth in following the Hawks, they aren't good enough to make noise in the playoffs and aren't crappy enough to get a decent draft pick, they are stuck in limbo, they aren't "boring" as you say, they are more just not relevant in terms of hype, the worst teams are still getting draft attention if you get what I mean?

Just a common thought, there are some players and teams that used to do something in some way and people stop to follow them and doesn't realize they are not as they used to be. People still think Melo doesn't care about defense for example, people still call Spurs boring etc

That's just the image they have right now, and it won't go away until the Hawks do something crazy, and make, let's say, the ECF. In that way, people will start paying attention, and the media buys in. The Hawks right now are basically the Spurs of the east, albeit on a lower level. But their style of play is no surprise with coach Bud.

Or maybe it's just because people want to watch iso ball, instead of real basketball.
