brady got his ass punked that very record breaking year .. 'we're not scoring more than 14 pts ? he he' lol ..

not to take away anything away from brady, but no need to make up shit to try to prop him up ..

and manning has 66k+ yds 510+ tds .. 208 consecutive starts .. dominating at age 38 in the nfl .. you have to be a real bitter hater to hate on this dude ..

as for the sb, you can't win em all .. seattle got the perfect storm last year .. elite defenses like that usually end up being the difference in sbs

Can we move past the one SUPERBOWL that sure, no one would have won other than the Seahawks and focus on the 8 FIRST ROUND LOSSES???!!!????

5 OF THE 8 AT HOME!!!!!!!!

8 times this dude got the boot without even winning a playoff game.

    That's HORRIBLE.

Who's making shit up? Brady broke records the moment he got a competent receiving corps. Name me three WR that played for the patriots before 07.

Manning had a case of good receivers and playing in a dome for most of his career, and the only time he won it all he played like shit. I'm pretty sure Manning would take playing like shit and winning a SB over all the stats you idiots jerk off to

Name 3 star players on the 1981 Super Bowl team, since the team was stacked.

I think Bless could use a bit more tact but what he's saying is ultimately true. It's the same argument as Wilt and I'd say it's valid.

If Wilt, with his superhuman retard 50ppg bullshit, won 7 or even 4 or 5 rings, would anyone dispute he was GOAT? Hell no. If Wilt had 7 rings with his 100 points and 50ppg and 30rpg or whatever, he would be undisputed supreme GOAT. But he only won twice. You can't not hold it against him. Jordan? GOAT. He won. Tiger? GOAT. He won. Bolt? GOAT. He won. Peyton is kind of the Wilt of the NFL, but I do think Peyton is a top 3 QB.

Yeah football is a very different sport where one player has much less individual control over the success of the whole team...

But what some of you aren't getting is that BOTH superbowl teams are SICK. Both NBA Finals teams are amazing. Bad series do NOT make it to the World series, Finals, or Superbowl. Period.

So it's the play of guys like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, as of recently Russell Wilson, its these guys' play which becomes the deciding factor that determines the victor between these great teams.
    Perfect analogy.

Peyton is the wilt of football.

And all these numbers have to be weighted when comparing players from other eras.

You can't touch the qbs. DBs can't touch the receivers. Defenses are scared to hit receivers going over the middle for fear of penalty.

In 80's and 90's offenses were scared as shit getting cracked by defenses. Now adays defenses are scared to even hit cause of all these sissy ass rules. Causing offenses to pass more than ever and not run. Running backs are at an all time low in priority. They used to be 1A.

I'm responding to these comments about 'no way brady only scores 8 .. no way does he go out like that etc etc ' .. he did exactly that in his record breaking year sb .. 14 pts when they averaged 37 all year long and had just put up 38 against the same team a month earlier .. and brady's lost plenty of times now in the playoffs so lets stop acting like brady doesn't fk up either in the playoffs ..

manning's playoff struggles are definitely bad .. but his positives are so pronounced that they almost neutralize all that .. and he is a champion at the end of the day .. he's not one of those who's never been able to win it .. again 66k yds .. probably will pass 70k .. 208 consecutive starts .. 510+ and counting tds .. he'll probably eclipse 600 .. he's just not the dude to hate on

If Manning wins another ring he's unarguably the GOAT.

this is true .. these rule changes have changed everything really .. defenses can't play defense how they know how to and it's given offenses an obvious advantage for the most part

are you forgetting that the patriots were a miraculous catch away from winning that game while Manning sank his team harder by throwing pick 6s?

I'd like to see your study that makes this 100% factual.

again, I'm responding to the comments about 'brady would never let his team go out like that or underperform' .. yes he would actually and he did .. and what miraculous catch are you referring to ? the burress td was an open catch .. if brady and co. take care of business they easily win that game .. they got beat by a team scoring 17 pts

Wilt dat goat by your dumb logic
Are you saying Manning's postseason passer rating should be even higher than Brady's? If you say so. I thought Brady turned water into wine in the postseason?

Manning has thrown over 1900 more passes than Brady and still has a higher passer rating and completion percentage. That's what you call a decisive statistical advantage.
