I'm sure many were saying the same about the Lakers from 1993 til 2000.

Oh please, spare me that tired cliche about the Lakers being "only about championships", like they're racking em up every other year or something.
They haven't won one in 4 years already (counting this year), and prior to their last 2 championships, there was a 6 year waiting period. Prior to the 3-peat, there was an 11 year waiting period.
Seriously, some of you guys honestly need to do some research on your teams, before you hop on the bandwagons. This type of rose colored revisionist history could potentially have you looking like an idiot.

To me, the city matters more than the "franchise." The Oklahoma City Thunder have 0 championships. The Seattle SuperSonics have 1.
If some rich as fvck Saudi oil baron bought the Lakers, moved the franchise from LA to Mecca, and changed the colors and logo...then it wouldn't be the Los Angeles Lakers anymore- and it'd be ridiculous to claim that "Mecca won all those championships with Magic, Kareem, Shaq and Kobe!!!!"

The Lakers will eventually be top of the NBA mountain again. It will happen as a Lakers fan we just have to wait and see how it plays out. Hopefully it doesn't take decades with Jim Buss running the show.
