No way, the media puts an overload of emphasis on the cliche of judging players by wins and losses. It would be unthinkable for Tony Kornheiser and Mike Wilbon to have to actually discuss the merits of the person who wins it on any level of depth beyond "did his team win?"
It's just not gonna happen. The modern media is way too lazy.
