    Shaq or AI? Tough decision.

Nash made 2nd seed with his second best player missing the year. Great leader, made everyone better.

Jordan was gonna win anyway, plus everyone know that it might of been Jordan's last season plus the bulls were number 1 in the east too, so I think Shaq had no chance of getting that trophy. Shaq was great in 01 but the fact that Iverson led a horrible team to the finals and being number 1 definitely puts him over Shaq. Shaq had 01 kobe too. Nash still didn't deserve 06, there was others that were better.

The MVP is regular season. What Iverson did in the Postseason means nothing.

I'm just saying he deserved it more because he had less help, Shaq had a 01 kobe playing with him, Iverson had nobody near 01 kobe's level that season.

Dirk and Duncan were my picks for 05.

    Nash in 06.

    Dirk in 07.
Both had a case but hard to ignore what Nash did for the PHX franchise compared to what they achieved the year before they acquired him.

If you were following basketball in 2005, you would know that Shaq was the HEAVY favorite to be MVP until the last few weeks of the season.
The media then worked themselves into a frenzy on Nash and he won it in an upset... 1066 votes to 1032.
Shaq was the MVP favorite basically all season, and in the eyes of the vast majority of observers was the best player in the NBA by a considerable margin.
Any other analysis of the situation in factually incorrect.

Ok, George W. Bush wasn't President in 2005.

That is a similar statement to yours above.
