You put someone like LeBron the 76ers, and they would most definitely have more of an impact than the 76ers with Curry on them. Curry is nice little gimmick player. He can get you over the hump. But Lebron is the hump. LeBron is the system. LeBron is the franchise. Warriors would win close to 60 game without Curry, and would be right in the mix to win the west. Cavs wouldn't even qualify for the playoffs in the East.

He 100% deserves the award but he's not the most valuable and important player to their team if that makes any sense. I think they should change it to Most Outstanding Player.

The Warriors have guys that can help make up for what he brings on offense and on defense they don't get any worse if you take him away.

They would never reach the ridiculous peak they're at right now but their dropoff without him wouldn't be as bad compared to some of the other teams without their best player. The Curry-less Warriors would probably still be better than all but 3 teams in the league.

But take him off the Warriors and they're still in the WCF, with a chance for the Finals. Hell, he was their 3rd option in the Finals last year and they still won the series Take LeBron off this current Cavs team and they are maybe the 10th seed. Take LeBron off the Cavs last year and they're in the running to pick Towns. Unanimous MVP tho? Nah. He gets these votes because 1. People were tired of voting for LeBron. 2.
