As crazy as college rivalries may seem to be, I've walked around the UoA campus wearing ASU gear, and didn't get ONE person to tell me to get the **** off the campus, didn't get ONE dirty look.

* have one tournament for the top teams in the north and south american leagues like the NBA, canadian league, brazilian league, etc.

* have another tournament for the top teams in the european leagues like greece, turkey, spain, etc.

* then the winner of each league plays each other to decide who the true world champion of basketball is


make it something like only the top 3 or 5 teams of each league qualify. sure, 99% of the time an NBA team will win it but we're all more excited for the non-nba 1% team that does win it
