I am a lean body type but it is so hard to stay lean to the point where it is unrealistic unless you have the genes. Even that, you can't enjoy the great food that exists in this world. You are not going to walk around lean and mean in real world situation. I tried and one night of splurging and eating will make you look bloated. Even pro bodybuilders don't walk around looking like that.

I find it much easier to bulk and have muscles on me and eating whatever I want than trying to be all lean and mean.

It doesn't happen unless you are an athlete. Notice even basketball players get bloated during the offseason and show up to camp fat.
