Re: How Many Big East Teams should be In?
It's a little hard to answer because it depends on who else gets in. But the no brainers are Syracuse, Villanova, West Virginia, Georgetown, Pittsburgh at this point (who have wins against both Cuse and Nova). The general consensus is that Louisville is in, and probably Marquette.
After that, I think you can probably only make a case for one of the next group, Uconn, Seton Hall, ND, St Johns, and South Florida. Personally I'd put Marquette here too and they'd still have to play there way in a bit. If any of these teams make a run to the Big East final, it'll probably include enough big wins to get them in, even if they don't win it. And UConn to me has the least to do (to me maybe even less than Marquette) because of the wins against Texas, WVU, and Nova.
They were a wisker away from beating Syracuse too, and they'd probably be in already had they gotten that win. They also played Georgetown tough before getting ice cold. Their schedule's been pretty tough out of conference. They had Kentucky to go along with Texas.
