Arrow Should the Pelicans have kept Noel?

    Or nah?

Imagine those two 3 years from now. Total domination in the paint on both ends.

Noel hasn't even played a game yet. Don't see how anyone could tell at this point.

didnt they have to give up a 1st round pick for this draft, as well as noel to get holiday?

so yeah, i think they should have kept him just to see what kind of potential there was with a healthy front court.

Davis, Noel Ajinca... that would be unreal defensively and lenght wise.
cant really fail to create a contender out of this core.

    Davis and Noel Frontcourt ?
So many players and white women would be intimidated by all that length.

Until he actually plays an NBA game, he is no better as a player than Vasilis Spanoulis.

Maybe not, but they definitely shouldn't have thrown in their 1st rounder just to get Jrue.

Block City Would've been amazing. Why the **** would you trade him for Holiday, as well as giving up a 2014 first round pick?!

Hell yes...especially as it would have allowed them keep their pick this year...and avoid the cap hell they got themselves into.

The Sixers future looks great...they are going to get potentially the first and like 8th pick.

The Pelicans now most likely don't get their pick this year unless it falls in the top 3 iirc.

    Haha...just awful.

No the Twig Towers would not have worked. Noel is going to get manhandeled when he finally gets on the court. 6'11, 220lbs isn't gonna cut it. Pels got a solid point guard in Holiday, and the Sixers got a twig who ZERO offensive game who hasn't played a second in the league. They'll get a good, not great player like McDerrmott or Rodney Hood.

Had the Pels not had all of the injuries they had this season, they would have been pushing 42-45 wins this season. Still missing the playoffs, but would have pushed the pick back a few spots.

You make a lot of assumptions for someone who keeps saying he hasn't played a minute.

I feel like this is asked every couple of months... and will keep coming up for as long as Noel plays in the NBA, especially if he has an at least decent career.

For me the answer is yes. Pelicans had somewhat of a panic attack and overspent on unnecessary moves, IMO.
