They should honestly give it to Durant, regardless.

interesting how the road for Lebron's regular season MVP is kind of the same path as it is to the 3peat:
beat the pacers then beat OKC

After 82 games, KingJames will be the MVP. Kevin βurant is back 2 being #2 on his own team.

Re: MVP Talk: LeBron Makes a Huge Jump
NBA.com's race to the MVP just updated and LeBron is #1.
Not even a Serge Ibaka forearm to the nose could dampen what LeBron did to the Thunder Thursday night on TNT. A smooth 33 points in 33 minutes, complete with seven rebounds, four steals and three assists ... not to mention some quality defensive work (along with Shane Battier) on Kevin Durant. Altogether, it serves as LeBron and the Heat's final statement to the Thunder until they (potentially) meet again in The Finals. LeBron has been on a mission for weeks now -- it showed throughout All-Star weekend and it followed him from New Orleans. The season-high 42 points (and nine rebounds, six assists and two steals) in a win over Dallas Tuesday was just a warm up for last night vs. OKC. Folks, we have a legitimate alpha dog fight for the MVP the rest of the way.

I'm a LeBron fan, but I think that's a little much. Durant is still MVP at this point, IMO

LeBron has more impact than βurant. It's that simple.

lol not just one game, probably Durant's biggest game of the season.
You can tell the Heat treated it like a playoff game.

Yes. This was Miami's first win of the season.
Miami has 14 losses. OKC has 13.
OKC wins 1 extra game and suddenly βurant, the impactless servant, is the MVP.
You can't be #1 in the league and #2 on your own team.

So the earlier game where Durant led OKC to a win over Miami( without Westbrook, btw) doesn't count for anything? Durant's had the better season, with a 1-1 record against Lebron team-wise. Don't know why Lebron becomes the frontrunner just off last night when Durant has been better all season long.

You mean, when the OKC bench led OKC to a win.....
