Every team is a system team the Spurs are just better at identifying and developing players for their system. I don't get it why people say "he's a system player, they're a system team". Which team or coach wouldn't implement a system that best suited his players or find players that best suited his system?

Re: Dirk looked pretty spry today for a 36 year old
Spurs shot 14 for 28 (50%) from three and when Chandler got into foul trouble in the third it took the wind out of Dallas' sails. With all that one more pass and Ellis probably buries the open three and they walk out of San Antonio with a win.
If they stay relatively healthy they could be a top 3 team in the West.

A 7 footer with a jumpshoting-based offensive game is going to age pretty gracefully.

As good as it gets for a season opener. Very entertaining team basketball from both squads. Much better than the Rockets-Lakers game that came on after. Nothing but ISO, ISO, ISO with that one.

"spry" on the first day of the season after several months off is a lot different then looking spry in the dog days of the season after the all star break...
