    Get a superstar (or two).

Can't win with a bunch of roleplayers. Someone's gotta take charge at some point.

    Like the 2011 Mavs.

You have your clear superstar + awesome ball movement and 3 point shooting.

Get a real center. I'm pretty sure Horford is sick of playing undersized 5 all these years. May solve his injury issues too.

Have to resign Millsap even if just to stash him on the bench. Make him like Big Nasty. If he won't accept the role then trade him for something.

No one thought they would get this far. Now it's an opportunity to get to that next level through free agency and the draft (#15 pick).

Say, you are the Hawks GM, what moves would you do?
They should sign Shumpert and JR Smith.

Trade Teague for a big man and start Schroeder. Teague is way too inconsistent, some days he looks like a legitimate all-star and then some days he looks like a 3rd string point guard. Not to mention, Schroeder has a higher ceiling at this point, he's longer, makes his layups more often than Teague, and already has a better shot. As for big man, if Chicago is trying to rebuild which is possible, I think the Hawks should go for Noah. Yes exactly what they need and not to mention he'll be beside his college teammate Al Horford.
