Duncan is a PF..

Um...Kareem Abdul Jabbar I'd say.

Since when are PFs not considered big men? O wait they still are.

Tim Duncan belongs on that list my man. A dominant force that has dealt with age well and showing no signs of slowing down. Probably the best PF of all time.

Bill Russell is technically the greatest big man ever without a doubt. He holds the most championships of anyone in the history of the "big" pro sports.

Chamberlain might be skillwise the best. His stats are just wrong. Though, it could be said that these are misleading since the 3 in the key rule wasn't created yet. It was because of him that the rule was created after all.

Hakeem with only 2 titles is not in the same discussion as Kareem with 6, Duncan with 4, and Shaq with 4.

Then he shouldn't be in the same discussion with Havlicek, either. Havlicek won 8, 2-3 of which as the best player of his team. So, let's see: 2-3 titles as the best player of your team+

Quote:
Also, Kareem's 6 titles were with how many HOFs, AND MAGIC TO BOOT? 4-5?

And how many HOFers did he have to get out of his way? I love how you Duncan apologists routinely

Quote:
Shaq's wingmen- KOBE AND WADE, AND PENNY?

Shaq outshone them in the same degree that Duncan outshines Parker and Manu. Not to mention the fact that Parker actually took the Finals MVP away from not-yet-out-of-prime Duncan, while Shaq was consistantly his team's best player up to 2005 (age 33), despite not staying in good shape.

Quote:
Duncan's sole HOF- DRob averaging 16 and 8 in 99, and 8 and 7 2003?

It takes a little more than 2 players to win the whole thing, and that's what many Americans ignore (and a factor that brings the NBA quality down). The Spurs, with or without another legit superstar, have been consistantly among the deepest teams in the league. If they weren't, Duncan would need to produce a lot more than his typical 20-10 nights to keep them in competition. BTW, '99 Robinson was more valuable than 2000 Kobe, especially during the Finals...

Quote:
Tim Duncan's 4 titles are greater than Kareem and Shaq's, because he accomplished more (literally than Shaq) with so much less.

Whatever you get into consideration, Duncan did not accomplish more than Kareem. 4 rings (3 as the Finals' MVP) vs 6 rings (2 as the Finals' MVP, although he was stolen big-time in 1980, moreso than Duncan this year) and 4 more trips to the Finals (2 as the best player of his team in the Finals, 1 as second to Magic). He had better teammates, but he also faced better opponents.
And then, add the 6 MVP's (which Duncan won't even approach), the individual dominance in both regular season and playoffs and the durability. It's not even close, actually.

He's closer to Shaq, but again Shaq's individual dominance is bigger than Duncan's. Points, FG%'s, double team drawing, foul drawing, psychological domination after having dunked 3-4 times in a row at an opponent's face, all these are values that Shaq has at a higher degree than TD.

Wrong. The 3 in the key rule existed before the NBA itself. Else, broadening the paint would have practically no use.
