    Default Monte Ellis' new tats

Apparently Monte got a ton of new ink this summer, anyone have pix? I don't recall him having any tattoos before, but now I'm hearing his arms are all inked out.

Wow, he just made himself much less marketable. You'd think the guys who resisited the urge to get all tatted up in their teens while they were young and reckless wouldn't ruin everything once they're adults.

The only acceptable tats are ones you get as a dumb teenager. Adults getting tats=not cool

it worked for Allen Iverson, as far as marketing, they actually used his tattoo's in a Reebok commerial, taking the camera through every single one. I don't think this will damage anything marketing wise.

Iverson could have made millions more in endorsements with a clean-cut image. Generally madison avenue doesn't like tattoos, becasue the hip-hop "street" subculture isn't where most of the money comes in, the $$$ come from the guys in suits and rich snobby white people.

LeBron was doing more commercials when he only had a couple tats. Remember the LeBrons ad where he dives from way up above into a pool? He barely had any tattoos. For some reason he started adding a bunch more around 2006.

    Its part of a culture...

Some people might not like it or understand it... thats just the reality.

Commercial success shouldnt be determined by the tats if they are not offensive in any way. Plus why wouldnt they be used in marketing who are they going to sell stuff to? old white people or young people.
