It's probably going to be a close race between West, Oscar, and Moses.

Why are people saying the list is ridiculous? Seems about right.

My vote would be Julius Erving though but I suspect he won't get much votes because people underrate/ignore his ABA achievements and dominance.

The ABA at his time was just as competitive and good as the NBA but people act as if the ABA was always some sort of D-League/Euroleague type league.

I still would like to hear the West vs. Oscar debate some more.

Who played elite longer? Who peaked better? Who was better than who at what? Stuff like that.

Can the people who voted for Oscar Robertson tell me why you have him ahead of Jerry West?

Jerry West has a sizable edge in longevity, a HUGE edge in team success, and a better playoff performer by far. I don't really see a good argument for the Big O, sorry leading your team to only one 50+ win season in the years you didn't have Kareem is pretty mediocre. Oscar Robertson would be made fun of by ISH just like T-Mac was made fun of if we were in 1969.

    Jerry West is my vote.

I'm also curious to hear as to why some people have Oscar over West.

    Moses Malone

3 x MVP (only a select very few have that)
    1 x FMVP
1 x Champion (he was the leader & best player in his team, its arguably one of the 10 best playoff performances by a FMVP ever)
    12 x NBA All-Star
    8 x All-NBA team
    2 x All-Defensive team

    OSCAR?
He may have been a better individual talent... but he had only 1 MVP and no FMVP while winning his only championship in 1971 waaaay out of his prime, he was a sidekick in that championship run next to a 32-16-3 @ 58% FG averaging behemoth that won the MVP & FMVP.... what we have left is only the triple double average season, the magnificent numbers he averaged, but then there is also the all-time high pace you could use against him... is that enough to catapult him over Moses? According to me, NO...

    WEST?
A super skilled perimeter player.... but he had no MVP and one FMVP which he got despite not winning a championship that Finals (not saying thats bad)... he got his only Championship where Wilt Chamberlain was the FMVP, where also he got outproduced by Gail Goodrich and where also Elgin Baylor, Happy Hairston and Jim McMillian played.... is that enough to catapult him over Moses? According to me, NO....

Yeah gotta go with Moses Malone. Dominant, effective and was arguably the best player at the time.

uh, you shouldn't talk about places in all time lists since your history only dates back to 2009.

that's fine that he's ahead of hakeem. he is on most peoples list. duncan is arguable though.
