firstly, so what if lebron cares about his stats? whatever motivates a great player, i dont really care, i just care how he plays. does what motivates him, change the fact that he is a great player? of course not. all that matters is how well he plays, not why he plays

Difficult in game context situations aren't measured in numerical form. Flat fourth quarter production averages does not a clutch player make. For all we know the majority of those games could feed into LeBron's front running nature. Like they could be winning with the game in hand when he is putting up those numbers.

With the actual EYE TEST

If say the team is down and no one is playing well ...

Or a critical basket is needed to stop a run ...

Or a defensive stop is needed on say someone who is torching your team with dribble penetration and pull up jumpers (Hi, Jason Terry !!!) ...

THAT is clutch. But go ahead and keep posting your stat columns that don't represent the ebb and flow, and actual clutch or critical situations of a game.
