Three years ago this week, Gerald Green, as a member of the Los Angeles D-Fenders, exploded for 34 points on 13-for-17 shooting in a win over the Maine Red Claws at the 2012 NBA Development League Showcase in Reno, Nev. Six weeks later, following his MVP turn at the 2012 NBA D-League All-Star Game, Green signed a 10-day contract with the New Jersey Nets. The rest, as they say, is history.
The 2015 NBA D-League Showcase tips off from Santa Cruz, Calif., with a four-game slate on Thursday, Jan. 15. Each of the NBA D-League's 18 teams will play two games apiece during the Showcase, with eight teams competing for the inaugural Showcase Cup, a bracketed in-season tournament.

NBA TV will air 10 live game broadcasts from the 2015 NBA D-League Showcase presented by Samsung, which tips off Thursday, Jan. 15, and runs through Monday, Jan. 19. The 11th annual NBA D-League Showcase will take place at Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors.
