Re: 2008 Team USA (Lebron, Kobe and Wade) Must watch!
Wade was the best player on this team.

2nd and 3rd greatest shooting guards ever;
the soon-to-be greatest SF ever; and
nearly as Stacked as GSW this year.

Re: 2008 Team USA (Lebron, Kobe and Wade) Must watch!
Wade had some really nice picks!
It makes me wonder how much fun Team USA will be if in 2016 they run with a lineup of:
Curry
Westbrook
KD
Lebron
Davis
Only reason why I'm including Curry in this is because his fastbreak 3's are so fun to watch. He also gets a ton of steals.

The inclusion of Curry needs justification?

Him and LeBron, statistically. Both were entering their peak. Summer 2008 was the first time LeBron played defense at a high level. Shut down Dirk in the game v.s. Germany.
Kobe was the team's intimidation factor, swagger and best perimeter defender by far. Also the default alpha in the most pressure packed situation of the tournament.
Wade was more clutch than Bron though, Gold Medal Game for proof.
That Olympics was Dywane's coming out party to prove he wasn't done after a summer getting in ridiculous shape, and after a season of injuries, courtesy of the great Tim Grover.
Best USA Olympic team I'd seen since the 1996 team. But honestly the most fun to root for because I was dying to see us take international competition seriously again, and reclaim our throne atop the basketball world.
The Redeem Team dominated everyone apart from that close Gold Medal Game, where the refs kept Spain in it due to asinine touch foul calls on our perimeter defenders. The game previous, they still had Jose Calderon, the refs didn't call the game so ticky tacky and we blew them out by like 38 or something.

I thought it was evident that I wanted to see that lineup run fast breaks. Westbrook, KD, Lebron, and AD on the court at the same time is sickening.

Curry, Kyrie, Harden, and Durant are unstoppable in terms of FIBA / Olympic ball.
With that shortened line. They stand back further than even the normal NBA 3 point line in the league, which not all those countries are accustomed to ... and just to bomb away.
This past summer's team wasn't the best from a talent perspective that I've ever seen. And they killed it. Just need interior defense, size, and shooters in international play.

They potentially could. The Dream Team had a huge advantage down low however. But no, Bosh, Howard, and Carmelo aren't top 40-50 all time now or when they retire.
