Being a HOFer isn't nearly as prestigious as it once was. After the Dream Team, the floodgates opened for basically everyone: international players/coaches, women. The basketball HOF isn't treated as an NBA HOF as much as the other professional sports like baseball, football, hockey's HOF are basically MLB/NFL/NHL.
dantley was still like a top 15 player in the league however. I think you're underselling kyrie's playmaking skills too. He's not nearly the black hole dantley was

His style of play was basically an inferior version of pre-Dantoni Harden. His pre LeReturn seasons in Cleveland was basically just watching him dribble the ball for 20 seconds before shooting.

Truly elite shooters thrive alongside lebron (Mo, Kyrie), while everyone is reduced (Jamison, Bosh, Love, Wade, Rodney Hood, Rose, Crowder, IT, ****ing everyone)
Unfortunately, lebron's skill restriction to ball-dominance made him so reliant on one kind of player (shooters), that he ceded the best brand of ball, offenses, and teams to others in his era, 3/9

Anytime you guys start talking like this, it's because you can't respond and know I'm right
And are understandably annoyed by it

Yes. Originally I disagreed but at this point I've seen enough. Kyrie can't lead a team.

With every post you make, my joy goes up yet another level. It's funny to see so much damage control coming from one person. What's even worse is that I am 100% certain that you think you are in the right. In reality, you're digging your own grave another feet deeper with every sentence, and it's the most beautiful thing to witness. Please, carry on, knock yourself out.

Kyrie's playoff run was ultimately a miserable one for his image, but I think it will lead to some takes like the one posed by this thread. And his first round playoff series was actually sort of evidence of how much he can affect the game if he's not scoring particularly well.
He averaged 22.5/8 on like 55 TS% and they swept the pacers how they were supposed to. The defense on him was tough, just like it was against the bucks, but he just happened to be in a really bad shooting slump.
Against the bucks he shot something like 28% on jumpshots. Looked like he could still get his shots off comfortably, but he missed. That's on him, for sure, but it's not necessarily defining. I'll wait until next year.
He's still a top 15 player, but he's gotta be out of the top 10 discussion like he was for much of this year.
