Yeah we are going to lose Lawrence, he wants Mack money and has already stated he will refuse to sign another franchise tag. And we have to give Zeke, Dak, and now Byron Jones big contracts over then next couple years. We just afford it.

Soooo...we'll be drafting DE this draft...we need TE bad too

IIRC when you get tagged twice it adds 20% to your tag amount, so he would be the highest paid edge rusher for just next year if he did sign it. It's huge money for 1 year. I feel like he should consider that TBH.

after 2019... we should say goodbye to Cooper, Byron Jones, S.Lee, and La'el Collins if we have to sign Tank long term... (I would prefer to keep Cooper over Zeke, but that's not gonna happen).

however, there should be no reason why we can't have Dak & Zeke finish out their current contracts, sign Earl Thomas as well as D-Law, and have a complete team ready to go this year. We could still find a veteran TE and run w/ Shultz at that position.

after getting rid of Terrance Williams, we have close to $50 million in cap space (that's without D-law, E.Thomas, or Dak's new contract).

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/cap/

Dak needs to understand that the best way to give us a hometown discount is to finish out the final year of his rookie contract and help us get the best possible team under the cap for 2019.

Coaches dont count against the cap...Jerry could give him a gazillion dollars, wouldn't affect the team.

Dak...he might not be Rodgers but hes a keeper. No thanks on rolling the dice on another rookie. So many QBs bust, its really hard to find anything "decent". Ask the Jags.

Witten...wow

I hope he kept in shape while gone...Im sure hes slow as a turtle. But we are hurting so bad at TE that his return is welcome.

Kyler Murray's combine measurements are in. He is pretty much the exact same size as Russell Wilson and everyone is making the comparison

I can see Kyler being picked by the Cards and Rosen traded.

Landon Collins gone...

Kyler Murray will be drafted #1 overall. If the Cards dont take him they will trade the pick to someone that will. (Rumor Raiders want Kyler)

Honestly Kyler can thank the existence of Russell Wilson for this. Now that his measurements show he the same size as Russell, no one views his size as an issue anymore. Everyone was scared he'd measure as 5'8" or something but nope he is really Wilson size.

Can y'all stop flirting with Odell? I gotta get updates saying the bromance between Odell and Brady is budding... fk off. Get off our odell

Good to see Skins sign Landon Collins though. Will honestly root for him, hope he does well. Proves how little Gettleman knows.

Lions did great imo

Trey Flowers - Adding the top (non-tagged) edge rusher to a team that ranked 31st in pressuring the quarterback. No brainer. Worth the reported 16-17 mil a year

Justin Coleman - Potentially an overpay, but a lot of people probably don't realize how much time this defense spends in the nickel. Either way he is young and has showed promise.

Jesse Jackson - Great signing. Similar to DE, TE was absolutely abysmal last year and Jesse was arguably the best option available.

Danny Amendola - For 4.5 mil I don't hate it. Obviously won't come close to replacing Tate's production but it will be a huge step up from the "receivers" that ended the year rostered.
