Still not 100% on Tim.
He dropped out of the Durant meeting, and reports are he's very strongly considering retirement. Him opting in could have always been the plan if he wanted to retire after the 1st year.

The Spurs are 1st round fodder, and have been for years.
They can keep winning 65+ games in the regular season, just to flame out miserably in the playoffs

First round fodder "for years"....who won a chip and lost another in 7 games to the Heatles all in the past 4 years?
Okay.

Okay.
Lost in the first round in 2009
Lost in the second round in 2010
Lost in the first round in 2011
Lost in the first round in 2015
Lost in the second round in 2016
Outside of 2-3 seasons, the Spurs have flamed out horribly for close to a decade
And many times they had Home Court Advantage, and FAR more talented teams

Actually, in the last decade, half of the seasons have been deep playoff runs (WCF+):
2007 - Championship
2008 - WCF
2012 - WCF
2013 - Finals
2014 - Championship
