Arrow LeBron doesn't really lose anything this year...

If he wins, great. He beat an all-time great team (statistically and on paper) with a much more inferior roster. Might be the worst Finals team of all-time. Also cements his spot in the top 5 ATG.

If he loses, it wouldn't matter. It doesn't take a hit on his legacy. He was supposed to lose this series. He's played AWESOME, you filthy, fat pigs. Hell, everybody had them getting swept right after Kyrie went down. If anything, whatever he's done thus far in the series, BOOSTS his already ATG legacy.

The big test is next year for Bron and the Cavs.

OKC vs Cleveland next year incoming.

until he faces a real challenge out east these finals appearances (and ultimately losses) mean nothing.

Yeah I think the whole West/East thing gets overblown when the reality is that the Cavs have given the Warriors their most competitive series despite missing two star players.

LeBron is putting up a GOAT-tier finals performance.

Don't kid yourself. The gap is huge vs the rest of the east.

The Hawks, the Wizards, the Bulls, these teams would get wrecked by the Warriors. It would be ugly and no one would want to see it.

The West is better, no doubt. But I still think the healthy Cavs could beat any of the teams in the West... hell, this version of the Cavs might have even been able to beat the Rockets.

I just expected more competitive series between the top 8 in the west, and also expected the best in the west would destroy the Cavs sans two all stars.
