Default Steph Curry has SHATTERED the 3-point attempt record.

He already has 786 attempts, which is over 100 more than the record for all-time attempts...and there is still some basketball to play.

There are only 7 other players who have ever attempted 600 three pointers in a season...

    Antoine Walker (2)
    Mookie Blalock (2)
    John Starks (1)
    Dennis Scott (1)
    Quintin Richardson (1)
    Ray Allen (1)
    George McCloud (1)

Steph has done it the last 4 years!

    2012-13 - 600
    2013-14 - 615
    2014-15 - 646
    2015-16 - 786 (and counting)

At this rate, he could end up shooting 1,000 three pointers in a single season! I knew Steph broke the all-time makes record, but I didn't realize how badly he is shattering the all-time attempts record!

He takes 11.1 three point attempts a game...of course he shattered the record for most attempts in a single season. Five years from now taking 600 in a season will seem like nothing in general. Lillard, Harden, and Thompson will end up taking 600+ this season.

It wasn't too long ago that half that many was considered a lot.

it's crazy how video games have changed sports.

every 13 year old playing 2k or Madden quickly learned the most efficient and effective ways to play the sports 10+ years ago. Chucking threes and creating turnovers for basketball, and running the hurry up and spreading out defenses with an aerial passing attack for football.

I can't believe it's taken so long for the professional leagues to finally catch up.
