At first I thought cowards was a bad choice of words. Then I noticed that [cowards] is in brackets. That basically means he called them p.u.s.s.i.e.s, right?
It's funny all this back-and-forth in the national spotlight about a word nobody can say.
They definitely didn't play like cowards in the finals, but p.'s is much more arguable.
If I were editor, I'd have changed it to pansies, not cowards. But maybe that's why I'm not an editor.
