* The Hawks, and to a larger extent the NBA, is waiting for the LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony free agency cases to be resolved. While Anthony is on a well-documented tour, the Hawks may well be waiting their turn to see if a meeting is possible. If things don't go as planned with the Heat, maybe James is willing to hear out the Hawks.

* The eventual signings of James and Anthony will establish the landscape of the league. Team needs/wants may change based on who, or who is not, in direct competition following the potential movement of one or both players.
