Yesterday showed why Kevin Love is a loser.
I watched a lot of that game for betting purposes (thanks Jazz for the money) and Kevin Love has ZERO professional pride or leadership skills. The Wolves have been a losing franchise EVERY season of his career. Here they are at 40-41 (no draft implications win or lose) playing at home against the worst team in the Western Conference and he put up the most pathetic effort I have ever seen from a #1 guy. He played no defense. He chucked so many uninspired horrible shots that Wolves fans could hear Stephon Marbury shout "Come on, man" from China.
Last year the Mavs were in the same exact situation at 40-41. Dirk and Marion came out and took care of business at home against the Pelicans, because that

Nothing new here. Kevin Love has always been, and will always be, a loser.

He's a good offensive player, but lacks the effort in the defensive end.

You should change your username to Captain Obvious.

Re: Yesterday showed why Kevin Love is a loser.
That was a bad game for K Love but I agree.
His defence is horrendous. He doesn't attempt to block any shots or even alter them because he might get a foul which will hurt his stats.
He jacks way too many 3's for mine as well. He is an offensive rebounding monster yet he loves jacking 3's.
Now that Gorgui has shown what he can do I would be happy to package Love and anything but Ricky, Pek and Gorgui and see what we can get.

2nd-3rd option on a championship team.

Re: Yesterday showed why Kevin Love is a loser.
season is done for the wolves and you wanted him to try harder for no reason. no point of playing hard.

So edgy saying one of the top scoters in the league is a 3rd option.

No, despite his bball iq he values his stats higher than the cause of the team, so he plays to gobble up rebounds and 3s instead of playing a fundamentally correct game. In my book he is very similar to harden.

Furthermore I wouldn't say he is a loser, but just like harden he is NOT a leader, he needs somebody to put him in his place like a cp3/rondo/lebron etc.. somebody with both the mentality AND the vocality of a alpha player but that will keep him involved.

You didn't have to say that. But thanks!

Re: Yesterday showed why Kevin Love is a loser.
I've been a fan of the guy since his days at UCLA but I've lost some respect for him this season.
He appears to lack leadership qualities and crumbles under pressure most of the time. He's more interested in getting rebounds than playing defense. His shot selection can also be atrocious for long stretches of a game.
I think he can be the best player on a good team but he needs a vocal, veteran leader next to him along with a good rim protector.
