The Magical T-Mac
Re: Why isn't Paul George > Tracy Mcgrady yet according to some posters?
This player has gotten out of the 1st round.
That player hasn't.
It's pathetic how T-Mac's abilities as a player have been reduced in that way with little to no analysis of contributing factors.
The whole "curse" aspect is overblown since he only had one legitimate shot at advancing. It's not like he choked away every chance he got. He barely got any chances.

George is slightly overrated right now.
Prime TMac is an all-time great. Bump this thread when Goerge can touch these playoff averages.
PPG/RPG/APG
33.8/6.5/8.3
30.8/6.3/5.5
31.7/6.7/4.7
30.7/7.4/6.7
25.3/5.9/7.3
27.0/8.2/6.8

Re: Why isn't Paul George > Tracy Mcgrady yet according to some posters?
Nobody puts Paul George on prime T-Mac's level because anyone who watched them play can see the difference.
George is an impressive player and Indiana is making a nice run, but if you look at some of T-Mac's teams in his prime, not only did he not have a player close to as good as West or Hibbert on those Orlando teams, but he didn't have a player as good as George Hill either. Not to mention, he was playing on a poor defensive team rather than the best in the league(I realize George is the better defender, but not by enough to make a bad defensive team best in the league) and a team that was regularly outrebounded, while George's team outrebounds opponents by 5 rpg.
Pretty obvious that it'd be stupid to compare team success considering the situations, and it's not even necessary when anyone with eyes could see who the better player was.

T-Mac had horrible luck. Yao would always fall apart right before the playoffs or T-Mac himself would get hurt. And those magic teams....were awful lol

George still has ways to go to get to that level.

Tmac had everything: the prime, accolades, fans, stats and marketability.
He just never got a ring due to team, injury, and luck. If Tmac had gotten a single ring, he would securely be in the top 15 discussion.

Laughable comparison.
You put 2003 McGrady on the Pacers, that team might actually be favored to win the entire thing.
