Pau's contract isn't expiring this year so a trade thsi year would've been damn near impossible. Nobody was going to take on a declining 32 year old big who's showing signs of not being able to stay healthy....especially when he's owed nearly $20M next year.

That trade only made sense when Calderon still resided in Toronto. Financially and in terms of talent.

The Raptors would have to give up some serious young talent for that trade to work now. At this point, Bargnani is not only a bust, but as injury prone as they come. When was the last time he played anything close to a full season? Gasol trumps Bargnani in literally every category; Bargnani couldn't even do the one thing that's suppose to be his forte - shoot well.

Only if the Lakers are willing to take on some long term salary, otherwise no.

Amnesty is the likely outcome for a Gasol/LA departure.

whatever deal Pau is involved in, I hop Artest & Duhon are involved in the deal

for an athletic 4 that can shoot, athletic wing that can shoot

Next year, every player on the Lakers is an expiring deal..aside from Nash & Howard(assuming he re-signs)

Mitch has wiggle room...he can look for deals or just eat the tax the team owes for one season and have everybody off the books
