Default Should Cavs trade Varejao while his stock is high?

1. The Anderson Varejao trade talk will heat up again, especially with the incredible Cavalier leading the NBA in rebounding -- by far -- at 14.7 per game. And he's averaging 14.9 points, without the Cavs running a play for him. Varejao is shooting a career-high 78 percent from the foul line, and making 15-footers regularly in the flow of the game.

2. In the past, there has been a lot of trade talk about Varejao, but the Cavs never were real close to trading their 6-10 veteran. Their price has always been high -- something like a lottery pick and perhaps other young players. The teams that treasure Varejao's skills are contenders with low draft picks. That has not created suitable trading partners.

I said in the main forum, they will not do it unless its an obvious win/win for us. I would want some nice picks, young players who have the potential to be great, some kind of package like that. I just don't see anyone offering us anything we want though.

The Kevin Love rumors are heating up on ESPN radio. The Cavs have been nrought up a lot. I would give up Andy and this years pick for Love, no issues there. My question is why would Minny do this? Did he not just sign a new deal like last year?

love has publicly made it known that hes not happy with minnesotas FO. they didntive him the full max. i dont full understand the new cba, but i think you can only give a certain kind of extension to one player, and he disnt get minnesotas. it seems they prioritised rubio over him.

love definitely isnt very happy in minnesota, but yeah i agree, its very early in his deal to consider moving him.

giving up andy an this years pick would be ok for me too

Now it makes me think we should have. This is the third season in a row he has went down like this. 2011 and 2012 were mid season enders. Now he is scheduled to return in March but that's pushing it close. I would be OK trading him in the off season for a get back that made sense.
