Yeah that makes a lot of sense
He never even avg 30 in high school. 20 seems about right.

So please stop the argument.
College is different than high school. There is no argument when it comes to that. You must not watch very much college basketball.

college is about team ball not superstar ball. lebron would average 17 points 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Re: If LeBron went to college, how much do you think he would have averaged?
College is a lot more physical and half court centric. Lebron as a rookie was a horrible halfcourt player and even more of a pansy then he is today. A fair statline would be
16 ppg 5rpg 3 apg on 43/22/68 shooting.
on a 20-22 win team that loses in the first round of the tourney

This troll can't be taken seriously ... AT ALL
His numbers would've been like his first season in the league. I will say this though, it's a shame the rule of going to college wasn't in place in 2003.
LeBron would have benefitted from the look of the college game. Teaches you how to play off the ball, catch and shoot, etc.
Kobe could've even used a year or two of college as well. I advise at the least these players should ideally go for two years of college before going pro.

Let's split the difference: 27.5 ppg, 12.5 rpg, 8.5 apg is what you're basically saying. Either you're being very blinded for your creepy LeBron love, or you have zero clue on how college basketball works.
Like I and others have already said, the college game does not lend itself an individual putting up great all-around numbers like that. Durant put up big scoring numbers but the college game plays into his strengths perfectly. He's always played off the ball better than LeBron, and the college 3P line was like child's play for Durant.
It'd honestly depend on where he went to school because I think his numbers could vary quite a bit depending on the coach he played for and that coach's system. Still, most college teams, even the best ones with the best athletes, are more half-court oriented on offense relying on ball-movement and screens to get open looks. There's hardly any one-on-one ISO in college.
I just don't think LeBron's raw skillset coming out of college lends itself to him putting up gaudy scoring numbers (25+ PPG) as a college freshman. I do think he would've averaged around 10 RPG and 5-6 APG, but don't feel he'd be the same type of scorer in college as someone like Durant.

also Durant also scored 25.8ppg in his only year with Texas.
I think Lebron could have scored around the same if he had gone to OSU.

Re: If LeBron went to college, how much do you think he would have averaged?
College game is too different to compare his rookie year. Sure he would have been dominant but unless he was at a small school that built their offence for him he wouldn't put up some of the numbers proposed in here. Doesn't lend itself to his type of bowl everyone over and hope for an open lane or a foul play style. He may have developed a post game there though and a better jumper. IMO he'd be more dominant today if he went to college and learnt to not be so raw.
