Well this is good news. This to me is an indication that they are dropping out of Dwight Howard talks, because Bynum wouldn't agree to an extension most likely if he was shopped elsewhere. We can finally focus on keeping the core together.
I have to applaud Bynum, Pau Gasol, and others who were constantly involved in trade rumor season in and season out, for maintaining their professionalism and always showing up to play basketball. I love this team. We never hear of disgruntled players who want out. This shows that the front office know exactly what players to get. They are committed to winning.
Re: Team News: Lakers discussing Andrew Bynum extension
At this point, I think I would rather have Howard. He doesn't have an attitude problem on the court. Bynum needs to grow up before I start taking him over Howard.
Re: Team News: Lakers discussing Andrew Bynum extension
You know...Bynum does not have to sign extension with Lakers. Last year he didn't really get along with Brown because he was getting his Zen moment. He could do the same thing like Howard testing FA. If he start doing that, probably Dwight would be better.
Re: Team News: Lakers discussing Andrew Bynum extension
Bynum is a inconsistent player some nights he'll put up impressive numbers then other nights are left to be desired, also the fact that Bynum has chronic knee's and every time he goes down we all got to hold our breaths. Bynum is a thug we've all witnessed his dirty uncalled plays taking out opponents when driving the lanes putting Gerald Wallace in the hospital for 3 weeks with collapsed lungs then Michael Beasley on the IL and if those weren't enough he took out J.J. Barerra out of pure frustration of losing Bynum needs more growing up to do nuff said. I'll take the services of the best center inda league anyday atleast D-Ho maintains professionalism win or lose always showing off dem pearly's.
Re: Team News: Lakers discussing Andrew Bynum extension
If I recall that was another example of drew's immaturity displayed when he was suppose to be on the IL a few years ago and instead caught playing hooky from the Lakers rehab program when spotted at the pbm.

IF Drew played hard all the time, we are the team to beat.
IF Drew doesn't play hard, we loose in round 1 or 2....
Why doesn't he realize HE is the key to the next ring?
Like in game one against the nuggets, last playoffs... A block party that first game.. Then it was, weres drew? He's complacent and doesn't have that aggressive tenacious attitude that would take him to the next level.. He has basketball A.D.D. One game he will give you 10 blocks and the next he's lounging around, walking through things (as he himself stated) and getting into foul trouble due to not being focused.
Consistency has always been his biggest issue.. Not whether he can be good or has skills.. We know he does.. If only he cared enough to work towards bringing it every night.
