No need to mention players like Kareem, who was 7-2, and over 230 by the time Wilt retired, or Thurmond, Bellamy, and Lanier...all listed at 6-11, and all would be listed at over 7-0 in today's game...and all playing over 230 lbs. And there were other's listed earlier, as well.

    And, who cares?

    Mel Counts - 7'0", 230 lbs
Swede Halbrook - 7'3" 235 lbs (played only 2 seasons)

That's it. And both were scrubs.

Don't worry guys. 20 years from now Lebron and Kobe will be considered epic scrubs. Let's be happy.

What I don't get is why old farts like jlauber tend to disrespect Kareem to promote Wilt while they whine all the time about how the younger generation bash 60s and 70s basketball. Kareem is arguably the best basketball player of all time who dominated the league for a decade and his longevity and love for the game is undisputed and unrivaled to date.

Kareem was great no doubt, but Wilt was better. I don't say this to put down Kareem at all. Kareem is like a basketball god, but Wilt was just better. jlauber can give you all of the numbers and etc.

I know his god damn wall of texts by heart + his H2H stats and shit no need for a jlauber copy paste job again. Dude is the same guy who thought 60s/70s basketball was bullshit till a few years ago but suddenly changed his view so I cannot take that Mfer seriously.
