Yep, no need to pay salaries since they play for free.

Kinda sucks that VCU with no NBA prospects was able to get into the Final Four... but Kentucky had to acquire 2 lottery players to win.

I can't remember the last time seeing a team as dominant as this year's Kentucky team. To be ranked in the top 15-20 (out of 344 teams) in both offense and defense is quite impressive.

Kentucky's biggest weaknsee this season and throughout the tournament has been transition defense. Indiana kept constatnt pressure on them, and the Hoosiers are no more athletic than Kansas. So conceptually, I can understand.
There's also the factor of Kansas' slow starts, and wanting to show Kentucky they weren't intimidated.
Good strategy, but you have to trust Taylor and Elijah to make the right decisions about when to run. They didn't, forcing the tempo way too much and digging that huge hole.

People get too lost in the Calipari/one-and-done nonsense. This is one of the best college teams I've seen in some time. Unselfish, willing and capable passers, defended hard individually and within the team concepts, take good shots, good FT shooting team, incredible talent with a little veteran leadership mixed in. A masterful coaching job from the day these guys stepped on campus.

And very rarely is he going to get a group that will play like this one has. People can whine all they want. He out-recruited and out-coached everybody this year.
What should he do? Recruit lesser players? Or should he do a kid a disservice, telling him he should stay in college when it's obvious he shoule go pro?
The straight jump from high school was far more damaging to far more kids than the current rule.

Nobody has a problem with the players he recruits. It's how he gets them that's a problem.

Where's the problem? Not a single recruiting violation, or violation of any kind that has ever implicated Calipari.
Camby hired an agent, hence the UMass sanctions.
Rose's SAT score was the issue at memphis, something that took place while he was still in high school.

You don't know what you're talking about. Cal has never had a recruiting violation.
The best players are obviously going to want to come play for a program that consistently is in the spotlight and prepares its players better than any other possible place for the NBA.
