But that didn't stop them from winning.
Jose hasn't lost his starting job. He is better than Rubio. Marc Gasol or Ibaka can be the only doubt, but it seems that Marc will start the games.
Rubio (almost 21 years old) is all about potential right now. He hasn't played well this season. People think that his game can adapt well to the NBA though.

Rubio was the starter at the last olympics.

Re: Raptors in Eurobasket, Stats & Highlights
Calderon injured himself during the tournament. Rubio and the third PG were playing badly, so Navarro played some minutes as PG.

Added Bargnani's and Valanciunas' stats for today and yesterday games.
And yes, Calderon at the present time is way better than Rubio.

Added Bargnani's stats and highlights for the last 2 games. He averaged 13,3 rebounds per game in the tournament.
Lots of post ups and dunks too, but the competition (especially in the second game) wasn't the best (except for Greece).

22pts 9rb and 2blk for bargs in a loss to the serbs.
not sure which one started but jose calderon and ricky rubio seem equally useless for spain.

That is because you know very little about basketball.
Calderon started and was fouled out. The five players that I had said started.

well than i guess 0 pts 2 asst and 6 fouls in 12 min. is effective play.

4 rebounds and 1 steal.
Jose was always in foul trouble and never got into rhythm. That could be part of the reason why Spain had such a bad game. Rubio and Sada equally shared the time at PG, which means that Rubio is not a key player at all. Spain could win the championship without Pau (Marc/Ibaka is still the best interior duo), but they would be in deep trouble without Calderon. Sorry, I understand that most people in the forum is ignorant about European basketball. Just don't say nonsense statements, like "Caleron is useless to Spain".

Updated with the statlines and highlights of the first day.
Only 4 mins for JoVal, Spain looks good, Bargs keeps up with the good rebounding games.

It was silver. And they won the World Championship in 2006 with Pau injured.

Jose hasn't been playing great for Spain for the entire summer (based on looking at the stats), so when does Jose actually show up and actually have a really good game? Spain has proven throughout the summer that they don't need Jose to contribute a lot in order to win.
Just so you don't make a "ignorance to European Basketball" comment: I will admit that Spain has the best frontcourt in the world outside of the USA.
