JR Smith to Chicago?

George Karl has done that for the last 4 years and Smith's playing style has not changed. Smith gets benched all the time for his quick trigger. He stays in Karl's doghouse as much as any Nugget. The problem is his talent is undeniable and he has a skill that no other Nugget has.

Smith is not the type of player that will be fixed by any coach. Theres a reason early in his career even though he was more productive than other young players who came straight out of high school that 2 teams gave up on him. He just doesn't seem to get it. I'd still want him on my team though.

Karl has put jr smith in terrible positions to succeed- never even tries him (until end of games/seasons) as a weakside scorer- jr would be the most explosive and dangerous weak side scorer in the nba- instead asks him to create all the shots for himself and others on a second unit that lacks shooting and shot creating- with ty lawson now there as an offensive spark off the bench it makes no sense to not use jr in a position where he would be more efficiant and effective spot

Carmelo and jr smith on the court together is special and Karl has gone out of his way to avoid showing it- one of the biggest wastes after not using them together has been having billups and not even trying using him to help jrs development by controlling his touches and spots

Nugs coaching and roster management has been terrible and its all coming to a head right now- none of it is Carmelo, JR smith, Nene, and Billups fault- karl asks these guys to fit in around the role players instead of fitting the role players around these 4 and its killing the franchise

They are also in a lot better place to handle someone like Smith right now ... good solid vet leadership and a solid system where Smith can slip right in and play his position ... also JR has to know that if he keeps his head down and does work in Chicago ... that's A LOT of $ he could be getting.

Good move for Chicago, they desperately need scoring from the 2...even if Smith is erratic.

Are people seriously frowning at the idea of bringing in Jr Smith when you have to live with Keith Bogans? Even with knowing what you get with Jr Smith, he is still a much better player than Keith Bogans. Its flat out silly to even question a potential move like this. Are you Bulls fans high? No honestly.

You can sit here and bash Jr Smith baggage all you want. Ad I'm not here to defend or deny he isnt the greatest player in the world. But you're not going to sit there and meh, hell no and Jr Smith in favor of KEITH BOGANS.

I hope Chicago doesnt do a deal. Jr Smith would be a nice offensive addition to the Bulls lackluster SG spot when it comes to offense of ANY kind. Wake up.
