Jeff Burroughs has an MVP, that’s a horrible argument. Voters are stupid. None of those guys you mentioned ever deserved MVP with the exception of Arenado who lost to his teammate. What’s funny is if you weren’t a Braves bandwagoner you’d be agreeing with me for repping the New York guy.

I have you pegged so perfectly. Literally fixating on one advanced stat and have completely deviated from the big picture argument.

I'm fixated on that stat because you brought up hitting you tard, try to keep up. Why are you so dim?

It's one stat and the overall point is that a David Ortiz level hitter with premier baserunning is easily an MVP worthy player. Keep strawmanning and obsessing over one stat with a negligible difference as your only talking point. It's something a dweeb who's never played sports would do.

I think it's more likely someone who has never played sports would be the guy who can't recognize how massively advantageous it is not to have to play defense EVER.

So if they stuck him at 1st base and he was average you'd be fine with it?

Obviously lindor plays a premium position on defense and is elite... but it doesn't make up for the fact that 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases is more valuable.

Since you love wrc+ so much, how do Ohtani and Lindor compare?

Your argument is really ****ing stupid all around though. Ohtani is the only DH doing what he's doing. He had a better wrc+ last year when he was pitching regularly.. so if your argument is that he's only doing this because he's not standing in the outfield or 1st base then congrats, you're confirming everything I've said about you.

You're making the case that since Ohtani doesn't play on the field, that he's not deserving of an MVP as much as someone that does. So I'm using the argument of the best defenders of all time.

Let's extend it a bit further. Ivan Rodriguez. Best defensive catcher of all time. Only one MVP. Brooks Robinson. Only one MVP. Keith Hernandez. Only one MVP. Willie Mays. Only two MVP's.

Ohtani was fully healthy last year, bad argument. I'm not denying he's the best usually, he's just not this year while he's recovering. And yeah if he was playing a decent first base, he'd be the NL MVP. But he's not. You don't win awards on hypotheticals.

Why is Ohtani more valuable than Lindor? Because you say so? There is data suggesting Lindor is more valuable, you dismissing it because you worship the Gambler isn't a good argument.

Injure himself in spring training so he does not bury himself hitting .200 in April

Willie Mays should have like 10 MVPs, congrats on further proving my point the voters are stupid.

Why do you keep bringing up hypotheticals of different rules?

You've never played baseball so you don't understand that playing defense has no correlation with batting performance. If anything it helps to keep you loose and mentally engaged in the game.

So if he was playing a decent 1st base he'd have your vote. Why? 1st base is the least valuable defensive position. Why the **** would him playing an average 1st base skew your opinion? You're a legit moron.

I played baseball for years as a kid, it's obviously you who has never played, Simon. Projecting as usual, and throwing one of your patented tantrums to boot. YIKES. Need your baby bottle refilled?

WAR does not punish DHs nearly enough, and even so Lindor is ahead by a decent amount in fWAR.
Bold 1: I would disagree, but even if you want to say Mookie or Freeman are better it certainly is NOT lmfao to pick Ohtani

Bold 2: Not true. Difference < 1 is insignificant to conclude anything but the players are equal in value.

I just looked it up and Lindor leads Ohtani by .3 in fWAR which is statistically insignifant according to the own creators. They also admit that defensive metrics are far less accurate than offensive metrics

So this guy is arguing that because he leads in fwar by .3 he's the runaway MVP.

You played tee ball so that validates your insanely shitty opinions.

Everybody here disagrees with you and thinks you're a moron. Maybe you can school everybody on anarchism?
