The wolves will prove that they're championship caliber by winning the title this year - otherwise, they're short of championship caliber.

And Tatum will win this year because his low-hold time style is capable of developing great chemistry over time, which allows a great-performing cast, aka great team.. Otoh, the down-hill skillset employed by Ant, Lebron, Luka, SGA, etc imposes spot-up roles that stalls young players, thereby needing ready-made stars to win (can't win organically).
Will someone please dig up the thread where 3Ball insisted that the 89 Bulls were a championship team, so adding Jackson as a coach didn’t;t matter.

If that's the case, then shouldn't all the guys you've claimed over the years that are "all-star caliber teammates" actually make an all-star game first?

Zydrunas made the all-star game in 2003 before Lebron entered the league and then again in 05'..

And the Cavs were a 5th year team in 2008 that only won 45 games... But then Mo's all-star spacing added 19 more wins by providing the spacing that Lebron's stiff-arm game needs..

Jamison was a 2x all-star that was averaging 22/9 before joining Lebron and cratering to 15/8.. Jamison famously outplayed and dominated Lebron in the 2007 1st Round (32/10 on 55%)... He was a rare 20k scorer and a better scorer than Pippen, so it was pretty nice for the 2010 Cavs - a 7th year organic juggernaut - to have a better scorer than Pippen as their THIRD option (while also having better team defensive rankings than the 1st three-peat Bulls).

And Larry Hughes wasn't an all-star but he was a 1st team defender in 2005 and steals champ, while averaging 22/6/5 and better production rate then 1990 Pippen across the board (PER, BPM, VORP, WS/48).. Imagine needing a 2x all-star center, HOF coach, and an acquisition that was playing better than 1990 Pippen on both sides of the ball just to make the playoffs like 06' Lebron.

So you're saying that, by definition, it's impossible to beat a championship-caliber team?

I mean if we're being real... Ant is lucky to be in the WCFs right now. Denver literally had the biggest choke in NBA history on Sunday. And it wasn't even him that brought them back. It literally looked like the Nuggets stopped playing once they went up 20. They got comfortable.
